One Saturday, one street full of German cars. The streets close at 9, show cars register until 11, and awards and the raffle happen inside Prost’s beer hall at 2. After 2027 it’s the first weekend of May every year.

Der Gastgeber The host

Prost started as a brat truck.

Now it’s a two-story German beer hall and biergarten downtown, pouring imported German beer brewed under the 1516 purity law, with scratch-made food and Oktoberfest seating from Munich. Good place to park a Porsche.

  1. 2013Rolls out as a food truck called Let’m Eat Bräts.
  2. 2018Opens its first sit-down restaurant.
  3. 2025Moves downtown to 134 N. St. Francis: two floors, a biergarten and a little German market up front.
  4. 2027Hosts its first all-German car show.

Fair questions.

What counts as German?

Any German make. VW, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Opel and the rare stuff too: NSU, DKW, Borgward, Wartburg, Trabant. If it wears a German badge, it’s in.

One exception: Minis of any year are welcome, classic or new. They’re British, but BMW has owned the brand since the ’90s, so we count them as family.

Does it have to be clean or original?

No. Concours-fresh, patina, bagged, track-built, mid-project, all welcome. This is a show for people who like these cars, not a judging panel that hates yours.

When is it?

Saturday, May 1, 2027, 9 AM to 3 PM. Registration runs 9 to 11, awards and the raffle are at 2 inside Prost’s beer hall, and the show wraps at 3. After 2027 it’s the first weekend of May every year.

What does it cost?

$20 per show car, paid when you register on the day between 9 and 11 AM. Spectators get in free.

Can I register ahead of time?

Soon. Pre-registration is closed right now and opens soon, so check back here. You can also register at the show between 9 and 11 AM, $20 per show car.

Can I eat and drink there?

That’s the whole point of hosting it at a beer hall. Prost serves scratch-made German food and imported German beer. See their menu.
